Welcome to Airenjuku Aikido Club
About the Club
Airenjuku is a group of martial artists who practice the Japanese art of Aikido. Airenjuku means “small hall of harmonious practice”. This reflects the way in which the club is managed and the way we encourage students to practice and live their lives. Formed over 21 years ago the club now operates over three sites in London and has a Sister Club in Brighton. The club is lead by Sue Smith 4th Dan Shidoin and Andrew Humphreys 5th Dan Shidoin who are supported by their team of instructors
You can read more about the history of our dojo and its roots on the Heritage page . Additionally you can read more about the art of Aikido on the About Aikido page. Airenjuku is directly affiliated with the United Kingdom Aikikai (UKA) and the Joint Aikikai Council (JAC). Through it’s affiliation to the UKA, Airenjuku instructors are registered with the Aikikai Hombu Dojo in Japan.
