Covid-19
Training during the Covid-19 pandemic
The colleges where we normally train are closed for the rest of this term They are unlikely to be open for anything more than limited use before Spring term 2021. Also social distancing makes our usual training a little difficult to say the least. However, we are continuing training as best we can.
We are running two online and one live weapons class each week.
- Tuesday 7pm till 8 pm Zoom class followed by virtual pub. (bring your own beer)
- Saturday 10 am till 11.30 am Zoom class again followed by social time.
- Wednesday afternoon- between 3 and 6 pm times variable- weapons class
We are lucky to have Steve Magson sensei teaching basic weapons for the first hour of the Saturday class, with Tom Helsby taking his regular 6 weekly session.
Dov Rigal sensei is teaching a small weapons class Kilburn.
These are formal classes, and usual dojo etiquette applies. Please wear gi if possible. Have weapons ready. Wakasashi or shoto are helpful. If you would like to visit and train with us, we are happy to welcome you. Please contact us (see below) for contact details.
Sadly, it is too difficult to run beginners classes online, so we are not offering these at present.
Hopefully we will be back training properly eventually but we will keep you updated as the current rules and advice changes.
